LG OLED A1: Cheapest OLED TV 2021?

The LG OLED A1 is a 2021 high-end TV. This TV is the cheapest of the 2021 OLED TVs. As a good OLED TV it offers spectacular blacks, deep blacks even with the lights off as well as the best viewing angle. But there is life beyond the OLED panel and the LG A1 is where it "limps": the native frequency of the panel is 50Hz and that in fast moving images you can notice it also does not include any HDMI2.1 port, it is not prepared for the new consoles of the future. Other aspects to take into account are the maximum brightness, which is behind Samsung's QLEDs. The Smart platform is fine but it is the one from last year: webOS 5.0 not the new one that is mounted on 2021 TVs.

Our opinion LG A1 (veredict):

Our opinion on the LG A1 is not entirely good although it is a very good TV. We can speak highly of any OLED TV, but in this case they have saved to make it a cheaper TV and launch it even in 48 inches. The saving of the 50Hz panel and not including HDMI2.1 seems to us that it is too much to spend more than £1200 on a 55-inch TV. If you really want an excellent TV to watch movies in the dark or sports with the whole family, this is an excellent TV, it gives you everything you are looking for. If you are more fussy and you are going to play with the TV or watch high quality HDR content, it may be that spending the cost of the OLED LG C1 you will feel better with your new TV.

 Our comparison of all LG OLED TVs this 2021. These TVs are high-end and they all look great. The resolution is 4K and they include one of the best Smart platforms of the moment. LG is the queen of OLEDs and they offer the best viewing angle and also the deepest blacks, ideal for watching movies with the lights off. televisions that work great for all kinds of uses. The price is quite high, between £1,300 and £2,000 in 55 inches.

Difference LG G1 vs C1 vs B1 vs A1

The LG OLED G1 is LG's best TV 2021 and probably the best TV of the year. It has everything you need such as the new HDMI 2.1 ports to be able to play 4K / 120Hz. The EVO panel that it mounts allows it to reach a higher maximum brightness than the rest of the OLEDs. The processor is the best from LG: Alpha 9 image processor. Audio is 60W 4.2. Available from 55 inches.

The LG OLED C1 is the evolution of the best-seller CX of 2020, not gutter with the EVO panel. nor does it have a design as ultra-thin as the G1 but it maintains the HDMI2.1 ports and the Alpha 9 Image Processor. The Audio is 40W 2.2. The C1 is sold from 48 inches.

The LG OLED B1 is one notch below the C1. The main difference is that it does not incorporate the Alpha 9 processor, it comes with a somewhat inferior processor: Alpha 7. Another notable difference is that only 2 of the four HDMI ports with 2.1. It is available from 55 inches.

The LG OLED A1 is the cheapest of the OLEDs of this 2021 from LG, the panel is inferior with native 50Hz instead of 100Hz and has one less HDMI and none is HDMI 2.1, so it is not so good for gamers, the Smart is from last year. Audio is 20W 2.0. It is available from 48 inches.

* The LG OLED CX is from last year (2020) but it is still on sale and is very similar to the OLED C1, with a previous Smart version the differences in image quality are few, very few and can be found on sale.

Conclusion:

For us the LG OLED C1 is the most balanced, if you do not have budget problems the G1 is superior for the panel it mounts, but of course you have to pay for it. On the A1 and B1 they do not convince us and we prefer to buy the OLED of the 2020 CX that will be at a similar price and is higher. In conclusion, the LG OLED C1 is for us the best option to buy a high-end TV in 2021, but we would expect to find an offer for about £1500.

LG UP75006: Cheapest 4K 2021

The LG UP7500 TV [UP75006] is of the "mid-low" range. It's one of LG's cheapest TVs for 2021, the resolution is 4K, and the SmartTV platform is good. The Panel IPs allow good viewing angles but the contrast is somewhat poor if you are a home theater lover. It is a TV more than enough for most homes and its price is low, just over £500 in 55 inches, a very affordable price. For us it is the TV that we would buy for our parents or for a family that wants a TV just to watch TV, to connect to Netflix etc. The SmartTV webOS 6.0 platform is the same as in high-end televisions but does not include the Magic Control remote control, otherwise it is the same TV as the LG UP7700, which does include this remote control and is usually a bit more expensive. The LG UP7700 [UP7690 (white) / UP7500 (without Magic Control]) is a "low" end TV but it maintains 4K resolution and one of the best SmartTV platform: webOS 6.0. The panel is 50Hz, which is the frequency Typical native for the lower-middle range, the technology is ADS, which works in a very similar way to an IPS panel (* 50in 70ìn??) with the lights off images with very deep blacks appear somewhat gray. This TV is compatible with some HDR formats.

Our opinion LG UP77006 (veredict):

Our opinion about the LG UP7700 is correct without more, although the most remarkable thing is its good Smart platform is a TV that is good for watching TV, correct for watching sports and not very good if you are a movie lover, especially if you are looking for sound and you watch movies in the dark. We can say that this is a TV for the whole family, a varied use but without being too demanding. The UP7700 is the evolution of last year's model UN7700, which really is just as good in picture, or even a little better in color. In conclusion, we recommend buying the UN7700 or one of those that are practically the same: UP8100, UP8000 or UP7500 if you are looking for a TV to watch TV, to use the Smart and little else. We repeat that it is a sufficient TV for not very demanding users.

The LG NAO866PA is a mid-range 2021 model. NanoCell TVs have a color treatment to be more precise. The resolution as in "all" 2021 TVs is 4K. This LG NAO866PA resizes low-quality content quite well. The panel is EdgeLED and 8bits of color depth, which is not the best, the top model Nano916 mounts a better panel. The native frequency of the panel is good with 100Hz, it has a good processor and it is compatible with the best HDR formats. The Smart webOS 6.0 is the best and includes two HDMI 2.1 ports. This TV has two variants The NANO886 and the NANO856 that only differ in design.

Our opinion LG NANO866PA (veredict):

Our opinion on the LG NANO866PA is not good, the price is for a not cheap mid-range TV and for us it fails to watch movies in a dark room, the contrast ratio is low, and the uniformity of the panel is not good. As a positive, we can highlight others from its great Smart platform, that its IPS panel offers wide viewing angles, ideal for large dining rooms or to watch sports with a group of people. The NANO886 and NANO856 TVs are the same in technical specifications. We recommend spending a little more on the top panel of the NANO916 if you like LG, its color and its Smart, which offers better uniformity.

The LG NAO816PA (NANO806PA) are 4K televisions with EdgeLED panel and 50Hz native frequency. The IPS panel with LG's NANOCELL technology presents good color, natural but with shallow blacks, the image processor is basic. This is not the cheapest NANOCELL but we can consider this TV as mid-range. The Smart platform is excellent and includes Magic Control Remote. and they do not have HDMI 2.1 ports and do not support DolbyVision. The processor is not the Alpha but the basic one of low-end televisions. The difference between the Nano806 and the Nano816 is only aesthetic, the base with a central crescent instead of the two legs.

Our opinion on the LG NANO816PA is not good, in general we do not like LG's NanoCells very much since for us they are low-mid-range televisions with upper-mid-range prices. They are good color reproduction televisions and the best NanoCells like the NANO916PA are good, but much more expensive. In this case, the NANO816PA and the NANO806PA give us models that we don't like, the panel offers little contrast and a processor just like cheaper televisions. We recommend you save with a cheaper TV like the LG UP77006 or look for a TV of the same price but from Sony or Samsung.

The LG C1 is the television you should buy in 2021, it's that easy and simple ... we could end our analysis here: LG is the leader in OLED televisions, it has been improving its already excellent televisions with this technology, which is the best in the world for years. At the moment, it offers the cheapest OLEDs along with the best, or one of the best, Smart platforms. This TV offers 4K resolution, the best black level ideal for watching TV in dark living rooms or with the lights off. The viewing angle is excellent and although the maximum brightness peak is not as high as Samsung's QLEDs, LG's OLED adapts well to ambient light adding an extra brightness that is appreciated. The 40W 2..2CH audio is correct but it is not the best thing about this TV, if you want the feeling of a home theater you should buy an external sound bar. For gamers it is also good as it includes the HDMI 2.1 ports and about 10ms of inputlag. This TV is offered from 48 inches to 77 inches and an excellent range of sizes to suit any living room. Our opinion on the LG C16LA is excellent, it is one of the best TVs of the year, as was the OLED CX in 2020 or the C9 the year before. OLED technology is the best for enjoying movies, sports, TV Shows, ... It offers us the best viewing angle: ideal for large rooms along with deep blacks ideal for watching movies in the dark. Its competitors this year are OLEDs from other brands: which are more expensive but not better and the best QLEDs from Samsung. For us, buying the OLED LG C1 is a success and if your budget allows it, do not hesitate: this is your television, although it is not the best TV of the year, this is the television that sets the standard of high quality, the only best ones are the LG OLED G1 and Sony AJ90 but they are a lot more expensive and not much better.

Difference LG OLED CX vs C1, which one to buy?

 LG OLED TVs are the best you can buy in 2021 TVs. The LG CX and LG C1 models are two of the most recommended.

They are two very similar televisions, the CX is the 2020 and the C1 is the 2021 update. The main difference is the Alpha 9 gen 4 processor, which allows content other than 4K to be scaled somewhat better, which is worth considering since most of the content is not in 4K.

These TVs feature the deepest blacks and a wide viewing angle, the maximum peak brightness is one of their weakest points and remains similar to the CX model. Connectivity is also maintained with 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs one with eARC / ARC support.

The design is almost identical and the Smart webOS has evolved little or nothing, more aesthetic than anything else.

Comparison LG C1 vs LG CX, which one to buy?

The C1 does not really offer a major change over the CX, the most notable is the new processor and the new evolution of WebOS 6.0. In terms of image quality, it is very good but there are no notable differences between the two televisions. Let's decide between the new or the old model: if you already have the CX, don't buy the C1, if you still find the CX in stores and you can save more than 150£ ahead with the CX 20202 model, if the price is similar then better buy the C1.

If you really want a better TV than the 2020 CX you should look for the LG OLED G1, which is more expensive. If you want a TV of the best and with the best value for money, both the C! like the CX they more than meet the highest expectations of any buyer.

Differences LG OLED C16 C15 C14

The LG OLED C1 is undoubtedly one of the best televisions of the year 2021, it is not the best but it is in the highest range with an adequate price, the best televisions are usually more expensive than this OLED.

The most remarkable thing about this TV is that the OLED screen offers us the best image quality, excellent colors and an unsurpassed black level, ideal for all situations and for all uses, even for gamers. This OLED TV is offered in screen sizes starting at 48 inches.

The C14LA C15LA and C16LA variants are technically the same and the difference is only aesthetic.

Comparison LG UP7500 vs UP7690 vs UP7700 vs UP8000 vs UP8100 vs UP7800

The LG UP8100 is the tallest and the UP8000 are identical televisions and the only difference between them is the base with two legs or central crescent.

The LG UP7700 has fewer connectors, a USB port and two HDMI, the same as the UP7690, which are identical but in this case in white (available in fewer screen sizes). The imported UP7800 model is also available in some stores, which is identical with a different base design.

The LG UP7500 shares all the imaging features but is a bit cheaper `because it doesn't include the MagicControl remote. The color of the TV also varies from Dark Iron Gray and Ash Blue on the back and the UP7500 is Ceramic Black and Black on the back.

Veredict

For us there are no significant differences and if you search well there are no big price differences either, depending on the current offers you can find one or the other cheaper. If we have to choose, we are left with the UP7700 that does include the Magic Control remote control that is a pointer and allows voice commands.

In this post we explain that it exists among the cheapest 4K TVs from LG for this 2020. These TVs share most of the specifications: it has 4K resolution and includes one of the best SMart platforms: webOS, the panel is IPS (except in sizes of 50 inches) and 50Hz, they are compatible with HDR but not with Dolbyvision.

They are ideal televisions for average users who want a modern TV, with the quality of LG but without paying more than the bill.

The LG UN7100 is the cheapest of LG's 4K 2020 televisions and the truth is that it is a good television for the price it has, although we prefer to spend a little more and look for the UN7300.
The LG UN7300 improves only with the Magic Control, which helps a lot when using the Smart platform, otherwise they are the same.
The LG UN7390 is the same but in white, it is only available in sizes 43 and 49 inches.

The LG UN8000 is a cheap and mid-range TV 2020. This is one of the recommended televisions with 4K resolution among the simplest. It has a good Smart platform and its main feature in image quality is based on its IPS panel (50 "VA) that offers natural colors and a good viewing angle, for lovers of watching movies in the dark it is a TV with blacks shallow that can become a little gray. It is a TV that is fine for most, for those who do not want to spend more than they should but have a good TV 2020. The LG NANO906 (NANO916) is a high-end TV, the best 4K non-OLED LG. The panel is good, it has native 100Hz 10bit color depth that allows you to reproduce the best HDR content like DolbyVision. FALD technology allows a good uniformity of the panel and being IPS it has a good viewing angle. The Smart platform is the best of the moment, along with Samsung, and includes the MagicControl remote control. The NANO906NA has the same features as the NANO916NA but with a two-leg base instead of a central base. The Audio is just right, if you really want a home entertainment center we recommend looking for an external audio system.

Our opinion of the LG NANO906NA is good, it is a very good TV at an angle of vision but it also has a low inputlag for gamers, an excellent level of brightness that allows you to enjoy the best high-quality HDR images. The worst thing we can say about this television is that it is not an OLED, and of course, for the same price we can look for the LG OLED C9 from the previous year, which will be less bright and the Smart is not updated but if you are a movie lover or you like watching TV with the lights off is much better.

The LG NANO866NA is a good mid-range TV for sale in 2020-2021. NanoCell technology offers good color and the panel is 100Hz per l which we can consider suitable for a TV in this range. The resolution is 4K, which we currently recommend and is compatible with the best HDSr formats, including DolbyVision thanks to its 10-bit panel. The α7 Gen3 Smart processor without being the Top that includes the best models of the brand, works very well. EdgeLED technology is not as good as the rest of the set. The Smart platform is one of the best and includes the MagicControl remote control, which for us has been a great success for years.

Our opinion on the LG NANO866NA is good, it is a television that includes some of the best features of the good current television panels such as the 100Hz natvios. The thing about LG (except OLEDs) is that the darkest blacks when you are watching a movie can be a little gray, and although the best for low-end televisions, it is not able to match QLEDs, much less OLEDs. A good television for all kinds of uses if you find it at the right price.

The LG NANO816NA is a 2020 mid-range TV. It has 4K resolution and HDR support but the panel is 8bit and does not support DolbyVision. Colorful images reproduce them quite well and for deep black movies use local dimming technology to dim the screen backlight to enhance darker blacks, although we can't say that is its best point. The Smart platform is the best of the moment, works well, fluidly and is compatible with all online TV platforms. Our opinion on the LG NANO816NA is not entirely good, it is a screen that offers a good color and a wide range of vision, but the native 50Hz of the panel, 8bits and EdgeLED technology are typical of somewhat lower-end televisions. The real difference with more "basic" televisions is little and it is not worth spending more just because it is advertised as NanoCell. On the other hand, the Smart of all LG TVs works really well and includes the Magic Control remote control.

LG TV NanoCell 2020 differences

LG's NanoCell TVs are the best 4K / 8K TVs from the Korean brand that are not OLED. Some of them are very expensive models and we recommend you go directly to the OLED range (which are more expensive but in general with better image quality).

The LG NanoCell 2020s are divided into large groups, the 900 and the 800 but they share most of the specifications such as: HDR DolbyVision, excellent Smart platform with Magic Control Remote, IPS panel, ...
The best are the 8K: Nano 99 and 96: not yet for sale

The best NanoCell 4K is the 916 and 906, which have a Full Array panel with Local Dimming (FALD) panel of 10 bits, 100Hz native and 4K α7 Gen3 Processor. and they only differ due to the design of the base. Both have 40W audio

The Nano 800 series are EdgeLED which is a lower panel than the FALD of the 900 series. They are a little thinner.

The LG NANO866NA maintains two HDMI 2.1 ports and the same processor as the 900 series plus the panel is native 100Hz. Instead, the Nano806 is 50Hz and incorporates the Quad Core Processor 4K, which is lower and none of the 4 HDMI is 2.1, it also has one less USB.

The NanoCell 8K are the 996 and the 966: the main feature is that they have 8K resolution. (Should you buy an 8K TV in 2020?) Both 8K models have the best LG α9 Gen3 AI Processor 8K processor, and a FALD panel but the 966 is 50Hz. In general the 996 panel is better. The NanoCell 996 has 60W of audio 4.2 and the 966 of 40W 2.2

Conclusion:

From the outset, discard the NanoCell 8K 966 since the 50Hz panel in such an expensive television seems a bit "scam" to us. The same thing happens with the two NanoCell models of the 800 series that to be such expensive televisions we believe that it is better to look for a model that includes a FALD panel or an OLED directly. The NANO916 and NANO906 are for us the best options, they have the best panel and image technology along with 4k resolution and a moderate price, the best option to buy a NanoCell TV, the NANO996 is 8K but very expensive, if you are looking for a TV of that price better look for an OLED TV

LG UN8100: 4K 2020 mid-range review (UN81006LC)

The LG UN8100 (UN81006LC) is a lower-middle-range TV with an image that offers natural colors and a good viewing angle thanks to its IPS panel. Uniformity is not bad, it is a direct LED and have native 50Hz (low range). The available size is 43 to 75 inches (the 50 "is not recommended is a VA panel). The Smart platform is good and includes the MagicControl remote control. This TV has a 4K resolution and is compatible with HDR, but it is not with the best formats since the panel is 8 bits The LG UN8000 is the same television but with a two-leg base design.
The other 8000 series model is the LG UN8500 and it is only available in sizes of +75 inches: it has a better panel with native 100Hz and supports DolbyVision.

Our opinion on the LG UN8100 is not entirely good, it is a television that offers only its younger brother: the LG UN7300, which for us is practically the same and can be obtained cheaper. We recommend that you look in stores for this theoretically inferior model, but that it will actually give the same performance as the UN8100 at a slightly lower price. If you are looking for another type of image, with deeper blacks even if it is the cost of losing the angle of vision, we recommend looking for TVs with a VA panel such as the Samsung TU8000

LG UN7300: A good TV, cheap 2020

The LG UN7300 (UN73006LA) is a low to mid-range 2020 TV at a low price. This is a basic TV but it includes a good Smart platform, with Magic Control included, and 4K resolution, which is what we currently recommend, we leave behind FullHD TVs. The panel is IPS: with a good viewing angle and an image with natural colors. The 50 "model is VA? The panel is 50Hz and includes enough HDMI and USB ports. The audio level is fair, but as in almost all TVs under £1300. The UN7100 model is somewhat cheaper and does not include the MagicControl Controller. Model UN7390 is the same but in white.

Our opinion about the LG UN7300 is good if we are looking for a television for the whole family, a television to connect to the Internet, use platforms such as Netflix or AmazonPrime, ... this TV has good resolution and compatibility with most content and connectors necessary. It is a TV for people who are not lovers of home theater, the contrast is somewhat poor but not bad if you are not very freaky. We think that it is a television that should be bought by everyone who wants a modern, compatible TV and who does not look too much at the image quality: those users who have not configured the image of their old TV more than two or three times.
