Samsung Q9F Review Best TV QLED 2017-2018

The Samsung Q9 is the best Samsung TV for this 2017-2018. It's a high-end TV and its price too. This TV has QLED technology, which competes with the best OLED models improving above all the brightness, although it can not match the deepest blacks. The screen is flat (Q9F) and is available in large screen sizes: 65 and 88 inches. The Q8C model is similar, curved and also available in 55 inches. The other QLED available is the Q7 with the same technology but lower price and image quality. The Smart is Tizen, evolves but little, the EdgeLED VA panel offers good level of blacks, the best without regard to OLED, and the brightness level is the best of the year, ideal for HDR content by the range of colors this is able to reproduce.

Our opinion Samsung Q9F(veredict):

Our opinion on the Samsung QLED Q9F is good, it is a high-end TV, the best Samsung 2017 TV and also the most expensive. As picture quality, which should be the main aspect, it is a TV that has no rival in color reproduction and maximum brightness, it uses the widest color palette which allows the best reproduction of HDR, for example more realistic skin tones, and SDR content conversion to HDR, further improves the anti-glare system. On the other hand, although their blacks are very good: the best on an LCD, but they do not reach OLED televisions. The viewing angle improves the LCD with VA panel but not much, the color stays well but the black ones become dark to the 30º approx.

Should I buy the Samsung Q9?
We can say that it is the best, or one of the best, TV for HDR content of quality and ideal for gamers, but its price ... We are not sure to pay more than for a very high-end OLED TV. We think it's a TV only for rich people.

For Gamers: Lower inputlag? Of the year in Game Mode, the best TV that can be bought for gamers in 2017.

Depending on the budget we can find excellent 4K TVs to play or FullHD models. We do not recommend buying HD Ready TVs. Although 4K is not available for the moment it seems that the game will be one of the first markets to arrive.

What is the best gaming LED TV 2014?

We recommend: What LED TV should you buy to play PS3 or XBOX?

What should have an LED TV, to play well?
The most important together with the image quality is the input lag. The input lag is the response time of the TV, the time (in milliseconds) that passes since you hit the button until Mario Bros jumps.

pixel2pixel.wordpress.com

Input Lag:
Recommended for gamers values is between 30-40ms, under that value is an excellent TV input lag. Above 40-45ms video game professionals begin to get angry.
The low-end TVs have less inputlag that high-end TVs, the technology incorporated is negative in this regard.
If you want to spend less, you have no problem with almost no low-end model, all are under 40ms. For TVs medium-high range recommend consulting our list with the values of input lag of all 2013-2014 models.
Manufacturers do not publish these measures and the users and experts that make the measurements.

Image Quality
The image quality and is quite relative because it depends in part on user preferences and each brand offers a different kind of image. Anyway there are a few parameters that can guide us about the picture quality:
Refresh Rate: The frequency of the panel. We recommend reviewing the true values, not CMR, BLS, ... as the "Game Mode" usually disconnect all improvements to reduce inputlag. The higher refresh rate, better picture.
Dinamyc Constrast: the more contrast, the better. Produces blacker blacks ..
Local Dimming: An extra which is included in the high-end models to enhance the contrast of different parts of the screen.

Extras:
There are some interesting extras models: SimulView, DualPlay .. than play full screen allows two players, using glasses. Ideal for consoles shared between more than one user. Video on Dual Gamming.

What LED TV should you buy to play PS4?
The best LED TV to play 2014, is the Sony KDL-W828B. With excellent picture and very low inputlag.
