The LG UK6500 is a TV with 4K resolution and HDR compatible for sale in 2018-2019. This model came to stores in May and we can consider it mid-range. Our opinion about the LG UK6500 is good if you are looking for a mid-range TV and do not want to spend too much, this is one of the most recommended for the whole family, its IPS panel as we have said allows a good viewing angle and natural colors. It is perfect to watch the TDT, sports and also movies although its weakest point is if you like to watch movies in the dark since you can notice the lack of contrast, the audio is not enough if you are going to listen to music with the TV or if you are a lover really from the cinema. For everything else we recommend the LG UK6500.

Samsung NU7100: too expensive?

The Samsung NU7100 is a mid-range TV for sale in 2018-2019. This TV is the best mid-range of the Korean brand for this year. The panel is VA so although it has a slightly reduced viewing angle it presents a good image quality both in bright rooms and to watch movies in the dark. It is a compatible TV with 4K resolution, all the current TVs should be, in addition also with HDR10 and HLG: the new image processing. Our opinion about the Samsung NU7100 is not good. We think it's a correct TV for the mid-range but we're not sure it's worth what it costs. It is a price of televisions with superior specifications of other brands and if you really want a mid-range TV we recommend you look for the Samsung 6000 series, which is very similar in image quality but at a lower price. Both the NU7100 and the NU7300 use the technology of the 6000 PurColor series while the NU74 models are DynamicCrystalColor so they are superior but also somewhat more expensive. In summary the NU7100 is a good TV but only if you find it on offer.

Hisense A6500 review

The Hisense A6500 is mid-range 2018-2019, this TV has good connectivity, with all the necessary tuners. The resolution is 4K and is compatible with HDR10 although the panel is 8bits, like most mid-range models of any brand. DirectLED technology with a VA panel is a guarantee of good panel uniformity and deep blacks. In terms of design, the front color is silver and the plastic rear part is black. The Samsung Q6FN is the cheapest QLED TV 2018-2019. This technology is what wants to compete with OLED TVs of other brands. Sony XF9005: Our opinion 2018

The Sony XF9005 is a high-end 2018-2019 model, one of the best we can buy during this year. We recommend waiting until June-July since its price before is too high. As an picture quality we can say that this TV is one of the best, outside the OLED, the panel is FALD and incorporates the X1 Extreme video processor, which works really well. the number of zones that are controlled is 60 and has a good level of brightness. The resolution is UltraHD 4K and compatible with HDR10 and perhaps with Dolby Vision if it is added this summer. The Smart platform is AndroidTV 7.0 that takes a few years with Sony improving every year, as a novelty highlights Google Assistant that is integrated, but we expect new update in a few months to Android 8.0. Audio is not the best thing about this TV and if you want to really enjoy home cinema we recommend buying an external sound bar. It is a good TV for gamers also with a low inputlag: Input lag 40 ms (Game Mode).

The Sony XF8505 is a mid-range LCD-LED TV for sale in 2018-2019. LG SK8000 Our advice purchase 2019

The LG SK8000 TV is a high-end 2018 model that seems to be imported for some stores since the reference is German, the equivalent model for the UK market is the LG SK8100. The SK8000 has 4K resolution and HDR compatibility with all current formats, it also has NanoCell screen that allows very good color reproduction, the panel also allows a wide viewing angle and the Smart system is the best of the year. The Sony XF8096 is a mid-range model 2018-2019. This model has the typical image of a mid-range IPS panel, good angle and vision and sufficient image quality for any normal user. Our opinion about the Sony XF8096 is not good at all, we are not convinced by the small price difference between this model and the next one of the XF8505 range that for us improves notably with a 100Hz panel, X1 processor etc ... Our opinion LG LK6100 (veredict):

Our opinion about the LG LK6100 is not good as we recommend buying TVs with 4K resolution, the fullHD resolution is increasingly relegated to the lower range TVs and 90% of the new models are 4K, in this case and with 43 inches the UK6470 with 4K resolution costs about £100. If you want a TV with this resolution anyway, this LK6100 is one of the best you can buy, with a good Smart system and good image quality.

Samsung NU7125: good quality in 43 inches

The Samsung NU7120 is a mid-range TV 2018-2019 available in sizes of 40 and 43 inches. This same model in larger sizes are the so-called Samsung NU7100. The resolution is 4K and this is compatible with HDR10. The panel is 8bit and 50Hz native, a value that puts it in the low range, but anyway we are probably in front of one of the best 43-inch TVs that can be purchased, since the superior models are not manufactured in size under 49-50 inches. The Smart platform is Tizen, Samsung's own, it works quite well and is one of the more content you have available.
We recommend you buy this TV if you want to have one of the best Smart and compatibility with the new high-quality 4K content.

The LG OLED B8 is one of the best televisions of the moment, OLED technology is currently superior but they are very expensive TVs, if you find them on offer about 1800 £ in 55 inches. This TV is compatible with all the best HDR formats and has deep blacks and a wide viewing angle. LG OLED models for this 2018 has few variations and this is really the bottom TV and also the most economical. The difference between this LG OLED B8 and the next OLED C8 model is the alpha9 processor that is not included in this model and achieves a slightly more realistic color representation in the upper ones. The Smart is good, for us the best of the moment and the Magic Control remote control is included. Audio is good but it is not up to its image quality so if you want to enjoy music on TV you should buy an external audio playback system.

Our opinion about the LG OLED B8 is good, it is an excellent high-end TV, but the lack of the new processor that includes the OLED C8 makes us dislike paying the price of a very expensive TV when for 100-150£  more we have an even better TV We advise you to search in different stores and take advantage of an offer of the C8 OLED where the price is similar to the B8, if a budget is something more just you can buy the B8 OLED quietly because it is a really excellent TV for us.

LG UK6470: midrange 2018-2019 recommended

The LG UK6470 is a mid-range TV  with 4K resolution and HDR content compatibility. This TV is well suited to all types of families with a good viewing angle typical of IPS panels and is compatible with all the most common formats. Smart is good and audio is fair. The same TV a little better: with a HDMI more, UltraLuminance and something better control of the backlight. In general the differences are not significant but as the price is very similar we recommend you look for the LG UK6500 during 2018. The LG UK6950 is a LG model of mid-range 2018-2019 with a special feature that sets it apart from the other TVs of the 6000 series, the sizes of 50 and 70 inches has a VA panel, very important feature when we are going to choose a new TV since we lose angle of view with respect to the IPS panels but we gain contrast. They are more televisions we recommend to see front but allow to see correctly movies in situations of enough ambient light or darkness. It also includes a good Smart platform with the MagicControl included and the best Audio technology, otherwise it is a TV similar to the rest in extras. LG SK8500 good TV FullArray NanoCell

The LG LG SK8500 is a high-end 2018-2019 model, the panel is IPS and this TV has the typical characteristics of this type of panels with good viewing angle and good color reproduction although it suffers with darker blacks if we watch TV with lights off. The Fulllrray panel offers good uniformity at the expense of a slightly thicker panel.
Our opinion about the LG SK8500 is good if the use you are going to give is more or less for everything, although the price is high the TV is high-end and offers a very good image quality, except if we watch movies in the dark and that blacks suffer a lot like in all IPS panels. This model is good in any case and with a good Smart and its angle of vision. We recommend you buy it if you find it on offer for less than 1500£ in 55 inches if the main use is not going to be cinema.

LG SK8100: good quality IPS panel (a bit expensive)

The LG SK8100 is a high-end television 2018, sold in 2019 too, it is EdgeLED NanoCell type so it is good without being the best. We think that this is a TV maybe too expensive although all its extras are good. Smart is one of the best and the processor that it uses goes well, version 4.0 webOS. The image quality is typical of the IPS panels but with the improvement of the nanocell to reproduce all the possible colors and improve the darker blacks, it is a TV that gains in viewing angles and the LocalDimming tries to improve the lack of depth of blacks which is important when we want to watch movies in the dark, its weakest point.

• The best: good Smart and viewing angle
• The worst: The high price and somewhat gray blacks

Our opinion LG SK8100 (veredict):

Our opinion about the LG SK8100 is good in general if you are looking for a high-end TV without spending a fortune, although we recommend spending less if we want a TV to watch TV and some sports or look for a TV with VA panel if we are going to watch movies in dark cinema style. We can conclude that it is a TV that stays in no man's land, our advice is to spend a little more for the SK8500 that improves the panel and the audio or spend less for a mid-range TV that more or less meets well with regular use TV, sports and some movies, unless you find it on offer for less than £1400 during 2018 in 55 inches.

Samsung NU8070 Difference with NU8000?

The Samsung NU8070 is a good TV 2018-2019 of medium-high range that presents a good image quality and good Smart platform. It is a TV suitable for all kinds of uses and for any lighting situation, ideal for watching movies in the dark or sports in bright rooms. The only counter is that its angle and vision is somewhat reduced.

The Samsung NU8070 is the same TV as the Samsung NU8000 with small differences, especially design: the color of the front frame is Carbon Silver the NU8070 and Eclipse Silver the NU8000. It also includes the remote control One Remote Premium TM1890A.
