Samsung Q8CN: Should I buy?

The Q8CN is a QLED 2018, solded in 2019 too, television, this is a high-end model, above it only has the Q9FN. The resolutions 4K (3840 x 2160) and is compatible with HDR10 and HDR10 +. One of the most remarkable aspects of this TV is that we can find it in two versions that share technical specifications: Panel QLED 10 bits VA, EdgeLED but the Samsung Q8FN is flat and the Q8CN has the curved screen. The maximum brightness is very high, ideal for situations of a lot of ambient light and for HDR content. The angle of vision is far from the OLED or IPS but it improves with respect to last year. The negative aspect that improves the Q9FN model is EdgeLED lighting instead of DirectLED FullArray. Samsung's Smart Tizen is one of the best at the moment.

Our opinion Samsung Q8CN(veredict):

Our opinion about the Samsung QLED Q8CN is good in general, it is a relatively expensive TV because it is high-end, within the QLED of Samsung where we highlight a high brightness and the ability to play with comfort any high-quality content, sound As in all current high-end televisions it is correct but it is not up to its image quality. The Q8CN has an EdgelED panel, so the uniformity is not as good as the Q9FN (much more expensive) or the OLEDs of other brands. Anyway if you are looking for a good TV, more than enough for any user is to spend a fortune we recommend buying this TV, but not before looking at the Sony XF9005.

Samsung NU8500: Curve screen our recommendation

The Samsung NU8500 is a TV with curved screen of medium-high range for sale during 2018 and first half of 2019. This model presents a good picture quality in general and more than enough for average users. The main feature is its good depth of blacks in situations of light or darkness in the room, on the other hand it is not the most recommended TV to watch from the sides, both for its low angle of view and its curved panel. This TV is the same as the NU8000 but with the difference of the curved panel, a slight curvature that allows immersion in the image, especially if we are well centered. For gamers it is a very good TV, with low inputlag in GameMode and a RefreshRate of 100Hz.

• The best: good for gamers and to watch from the center with/whitout ambient light.
• Worst: Limited viewing angle

Samsung NU7300 Curved screen 2018-2019 review

The Samsung NU7300 is a TV with curved screen for sale in the UK during 2018&2019. This TV is mid-range and presents a typical image of the VA, this is better to watch front and good to watch movies in the dark or with much light. The Smart platforms is Tizen 4.0 one of the most applications includes, and with good fluidity and stability. The sound is poor but enough to watch TV. The model NU7100 is the same TV but with flat screen, they share technical specifications and although it is not a recommended TV to watch from the sides it is always better to be flat for that situation. The TV with the slight curvature is better to watch centered. We advise you to review our opinion about the Samsung NU7100 which is the same as we have for this model.

Samsung NU8000: good for all uses 2018-2019

The Samsung NU8000 is a mid-high-end TV for 2018-2019. The image quality is very good if we see it from the front, good for a dark room or to see with the lights off. The level of brightness is also good so it adapts well to bright rooms. Like all VA panels the viewing angle is reduced, recommended for watching from the front. The inputlag is low: good for gamers. This model evolves a bit the MU8000 of the previous year, with something better for HDR content. The audio is correct to watch TV but it is not enough for movie lovers or who want to listen to music with the TV.

• The best: image quality in any light situation and gamers
• The worst: Limited viewing angle

Our opinion Samsung NU8000 (veredict):

Our opinion about the Samsung NU8000 is good in general. It is a television that adapts well to all kinds of uses, it is a balanced television in our opinion, the NU8000 is good in sports, TVShows, movies in high quality, gamers etc ... it is also a TV that adapts well to dark or bright rooms although it is not at the level of the best of the year as the QLED.

The weak point is the same that accompanies Samsung in recent years: the VA panel is not recommended if you usually watch it from the sides. The audio does not stand out either, we almost always recommend buying an external sound bar. We recommend you buy the Samsung NU8000 as a good TV for all uses whenever you are going to watch it centered.

Samsung MU6670: The best mid-range 2017-2018?

The Samsung MU6670 is a mid-range TV. The panel is curved and offers 4K resolution and HDR compatibility. The brightness level does not allow playback of the best HDR content, but it is a good mid-range TV in general, with good Smart and good connectivity. The Samsung MU6670 is the same TV as the MU6500 with different Front Colour: Dark Titan. The differences in image quality are minimal: 1700Hz PQI and Supreme UHD Dimming technology. In addition to the frame color the MU6675 includes the TM1790A One Remote Control remote control. We do not think the difference is significant

Samsung MU9000: Best LCD-LED from Samsung 2017-2018

The Samsung SmartTV MU9000 is a high-end curved screen. This TV supports HDR and 4K resolution. Samsung offers superior models called QLED, which are significantly more expensive. The Samsung MU9000 is available in 55 and 65 inch screen sizes. The panel is VA so we recommend this TV to watch mainly from the front, while the IPS TVs are also well viewed from the sides, as a plus point this TV offers greater contrast than other televisions. The Smart works well, it is one of the good ones at the moment and the compatibility is good, although it does not support HDR DolbyVision. The most widely used HDR is the HDR10 which is compatible.

TVs with a VA panel are recommended for viewing from the front, Image quality is lost if viewed from the sides. In lighting it is recommended to see in dark and illuminated halls.
Applications:

This TV like almost all high-end televisions suits well for all kinds of uses. The scaling of low quality content is not as good as in the QLED. Good for watching sports, its good brightness and HDR content. It's a TV for movies and for gamers.

Our opinion Samsung MU9000(veredict):

Our opinion on the Samsung MU9000 is quite good, it is a recommended TV for those who want a curved display, but are not willing to pay what they cost the new QLED 2017. This shares specifications with the Samsung MU8000, which is flat. The compatibility is good and this TV offers an image with good color quality and good level of black, to be an EdgeLED TV, which always suffers a little more in this aspect. The viewing angle is reduced as on all VA TVs so we do not recommend it if you are watching the TV from the sides. We recommend you buy the Samsung MU9000 during 2018 if you want good quality on a curved screen without spending more than the bill, although you can look for the Samsung KS7500 while it goes on sale and save in your budget for an equal or better TV in picture quality .

Samsung MU6200: curved screen 4K HDR at low prices

The Samsung MU6200 is a mid-range curved TV. The resolution is compatible with 4K (ultraHD) and also supports HDR10, although with an 8bit panel it can not offer the optimum color range. The curved screen is almost exclusive to Samsung for 2017 so if you are looking for a curved screen TV, 4K and HDR at low price this is the TV you should buy, as picture quality as we have said does not highlight its color palette, But the blacks are quite deep if we watch it from the front, it is not recommended to watch from the sides. Samsung MU6500: opinion curved Midrange

The Samsung MU6500 is a mid-range TV with 4K resolution and compatible with HDR. The panel is curved, this TV is the same model as the Samsung MU6400 which is flat screen. The MU6500 features the Smart Tizen platform, which works well and does not include 3D, like most 2017 models. Samsung is one of the few brands that continues to offer curved displays. In image quality the panel is 8bits VA, which Supposes a good contrast, a reduced viewing angle and HDR playback away from the best TVs of the year. This TV has all the necessary connections currently and also the tuners. Should I buy a curved TV?

Samsung Q7 QLED Our opinion

The Samsung Q7F is the cheapest of the QLED 4K Samsung TV for this 2017-2018. It is a flat-screen model and must compete with OLED TVs of other brands, as Samsung does not offer televisions with this technology. The size is available from 49 inches. The Samsung Q7 is high-end and we expect its price to be higher than £2200 at 55 inches. The Smart is Tizen, evolves but little. This model includes the new TM1790A remote control. On the picture quality offers the most brilliant images and good level of black, the viewing angle does not improve the typical VA and is far from the IPS and OLED panels. The Q7 is compatible with HDR10 but not with DolbyVision. Connectivity is done through One Connect. The Q7C model is the same but with a curved display.

Our opinion Samsung Q7 (veredict):

Our opinion on the Samsung QLED Q7 is not the best. At least for now the price is very high and does not improve, or at least we do not consider it to be better than the Samsung KS7000 or KS8000. This model is recommended for gamers, with low inputlag also in HDR games. The viewing angle is bad, but it is recommended if you watch it from the front. In bright and dark rooms the range of colors and blacks are good. A TV not recommended for viewing from the sides. We think that if your price is not low it is better to look for OLED models at the same price.

Samsung KU6670/KU6680 recommended mid-range Smart TV

The Samsung KU6670 is a TV with curved screen 2016. This model offers a resolution UltraHD (4K) and a good system Smart. This model is one of the best in the midrange of Samsung for this year. Our opinion Samsung KS9000 (veredict):

Our opinion about the Samsung KS9000 is very good, it seems that this year Samsung has focused on strengthening its JS9000 models, which do not see much difference. The KS9000 Smart improves, and image quality is very good, amazing HDR content as it offers a wide range of colors. We can not discuss its 2D picture quality (3D is not included), simply buy it with other models like the Panasonic DX900 HDR or LG OLED TV. This TV has the lowest inputlag among high-end models 2016, so it is the most recommended for gamers. If you want to spend over the £1500 in 55 inches you must  buy this excellent TV.

Our opinion Samsung KS9500 (veredict):

Our review of the Samsung KS9500 is excellent. This TV is the best you can expect from a modern TV, this combines design, build quality, image quality and performance. There is a MothEye filter to reduce glare. The screen is curved and connectivity is excellent, uses a One Connect. The Smart platform is one of the best of the year. Image quality is the best available, unique contrast and it includes many Samsung's own technology to improve all aspects, both in rescaling, and 4K content.
