Philips PUS9435: good TV review 2020

The Philips PUS9435 is a high-end 4K LCD-LED TV. This model for sale in 2020 offers a flat screen with good image quality thanks to the Philips P5 Perfect Picture Engine image processor. The panel frequency is 50Hz, so fast-moving images are not entirely smooth, it is perhaps its weakest point. By cons the highlight is the Bowers & Wilkins sound system and a very good quality design and finishes. The compatibility is total with the best HDR formats: HDR10, HDR10 +, Dolby Vision, HLG thanks to its 10-bit panel. As with all high-end Philips models, it includes the 3-sided Ambilight. What is Ambilight ?. The Smart platform works with Android.

  • The best: Powerful sound system, attractive design with Ambilight
  • The worst: Possible movement problems, Does not include HDMI 2.1

Our Veredict Philips PUS9435:

Our opinion on the Philips PUS9435 is not entirely good, although it should be a high-end TV, we do not believe that the image quality is on a par with other televisions in the same price range, otherwise, that is, the accompanying set the picture is very good, perhaps the current LCD-LED TV with better sound system. Philips has bet in its range of televisions for originality, and the Philips PUS9435 is an example of this: design, Ambilight and audio.

Philips PUS8555 review 2020

The Philips PUS8555 (PUS8505) is a 2020 high-mid-range TV. This 4K resolution TV has significant differences, both in design and image, between the different screen sizes available. The panel is 10-bit direct LED but VA in 50 and 70 inches and IPS in the rest of the available sizes? The Smart platform is Android, which is doing well but is a step behind Samsung and LG. The connectors are fine, but like almost all 2020 TVs it doesn't include HDMI 2.1. The design includes the 3-sided Ambilight that some love and others may be a bit annoying.

  • The Best: Attractive design with Ambilight
  • The worst: Possible movement problems, Doesn't include HDMI 2.1

Our Veredict Philips PUS8555:

Our opinion on the Philips PUS8555 is quite good as it combines price and performance with a stylish design. It has similar specifications to other LED TVs in the same price range with good compatibility, a good Android TV operating system, the Google Assistant, full HDR support and the P5 image processor that offers bright and bright images allowing better HDR content. The audio is not up to the image, if you are looking for sound quality we recommend buying an external audio bar or looking for the higher model Philips PUS9435.

Differences Samsung TU8000 TU7100 TU8500 TU8510

Samsung's 2020 mid-range 4K TVs are the TU7 and TU8 models.
In this post we explain the differences between all the available models: Samsung TU7100, TU7120, TU8000, TU8500 and TU8510.
All these televisions share the main characteristics: 4K resolution, Smart Tizen, flat, VA panel, HDR, ...

Difference between Samsung LCD-LED 4K 2020 TVs:

The Samsung TU7100is the cheapest of the 4K TV, VA panel with 50Hz refresh rate, does not include the remote with voice control, the color technology is PurColor
The only difference we have found between Samsung TU7120 and TU7100 is the Front color:
TU7105 is Carbon Silver while TU7120is Anthracite Gray.
The Samsung TU8000 has more brightness, a USB port and an HDMI more and includes the remote control with voice control.
The Samsung TU8500 uses DualLED technology with better color reproduction, also slightly more Hz and a design with side legs instead of a central base. The TU8510 is exactly the same, but in white.

Difference LG UN7100 UN7300 UN8000 UN8100

In this post we explain that it exists among the cheapest 4K TVs from LG for this 2020. These TVs share most of the specifications: it has 4K resolution and includes one of the best SMart platforms: webOS, the panel is IPS (except in sizes of 50 inches) and 50Hz, they are compatible with HDR but not with Dolbyvision.

They are ideal televisions for average users who want a modern TV, with the quality of LG but without paying more than the bill.

The LG UN7100 is the cheapest of LG's 4K 2020 televisions and the truth is that it is a good television for the price it has, although we prefer to spend a little more and look for the UN7300.
The LG UN7300 improves only with the Magic Control, which helps a lot when using the Smart platform, otherwise they are the same.
The LG UN7390 is the same but in white, it is only available in sizes 43 and 49 inches.
LG UN8000 enhances 7000 series with one more HDMI port
The LG UN8100 and UN8000 are the same TV, the only difference is in design: the support with two legs instead of a central crescent and gray color. Its T
The LG UN8500 is the latest 4K LCD-LED model from 2020 and is only available from 65 inches: it has a better panel with native 100Hz and supports DolbyVision.

LG UN8000: 2020 mid-range recommendation

The LG UN8000 is a cheap and mid-range TV 2020. This is one of the recommended televisions with 4K resolution among the simplest. It has a good Smart platform and its main feature in image quality is based on its IPS panel (50 "VA) that offers natural colors and a good viewing angle, for lovers of watching movies in the dark it is a TV with blacks shallow that can become a little gray. It is a TV that is fine for most, for those who do not want to spend more than they should but have a good TV 2020. The LG UN8000 is the same TV as the LG UN8100, with the difference in design of the support with two legs instead of a central crescent and gray color.
We recommend you to visit our complete review of the UN8100 that can be extrapolated to this model.

Sony XH9005: Best TV 2020 gamers

The Sony XH9005 is a 2020 high-end TV at a moderate price. This television is a more modest option than the XH95 series although it maintains the FullArray panel (FALD), with but viewing angle but better contrast. The Sony XH9005 supports Dolby Vision and HDR in 4K resolution. The X1 graphics processor is not the best of Sony 2020 that integrates the best 2020 televisions. The Smart platform works with Android and supports the voice control of the Google Assistant, which is fine but still does not reach the level of Samsung's Smart. The audio system is better than the competition, Sony has bet heavily on this aspect, although it is far from the external Audio systems. The HDMI port is prepared to update it to HDMI 2.1, making this series the best for gamers.

Design Sony XH9005

Alternative to Sony XH9005?

Do not forget to check out out "TV Buying Guide"
  • Sony XH9505: better viewing angle and more powerful processor, somewhat worse for gamers and contrast. More expensive
  • Samsung Q80T: The equivalent of Samsung 2020

Our opinion Sony XH9005 (veredict):

Our opinion of the XH9005 is very good, its price is less than its value: both in terms of features and image quality. What we highlight the most is its excellent contrast ratio and panel uniformity and good local attenuation. The but as we have already said the viewing angle. It is an excellent TV for watching movies in the dark, such as everyday TV and especially thanks to its low response time (inputlag) and the HDMI 2.1 port make it the ideal TV for the new generation of consoles. In short, we are talking about perhaps the best TV that can be bought for around ‎£1,200 or less if you find it on sale. We hope that the 49-inch model will go on sale to be the best TV gamer of 2020.
