Samsung Q8CN: Should I buy?

The Q8CN is a QLED 2018, solded in 2019 too, television, this is a high-end model, above it only has the Q9FN. The resolutions 4K (3840 x 2160) and is compatible with HDR10 and HDR10 +. One of the most remarkable aspects of this TV is that we can find it in two versions that share technical specifications: Panel QLED 10 bits VA, EdgeLED but the Samsung Q8FN is flat and the Q8CN has the curved screen. The maximum brightness is very high, ideal for situations of a lot of ambient light and for HDR content. The angle of vision is far from the OLED or IPS but it improves with respect to last year. The negative aspect that improves the Q9FN model is EdgeLED lighting instead of DirectLED FullArray. Samsung's Smart Tizen is one of the best at the moment.

Our opinion Samsung Q8CN(veredict):

Our opinion about the Samsung QLED Q8CN is good in general, it is a relatively expensive TV because it is high-end, within the QLED of Samsung where we highlight a high brightness and the ability to play with comfort any high-quality content, sound As in all current high-end televisions it is correct but it is not up to its image quality. The Q8CN has an EdgelED panel, so the uniformity is not as good as the Q9FN (much more expensive) or the OLEDs of other brands. Anyway if you are looking for a good TV, more than enough for any user is to spend a fortune we recommend buying this TV, but not before looking at the Sony XF9005.

Samsung NU8500: Curve screen our recommendation

The Samsung NU8500 is a TV with curved screen of medium-high range for sale during 2018 and first half of 2019. This model presents a good picture quality in general and more than enough for average users. The main feature is its good depth of blacks in situations of light or darkness in the room, on the other hand it is not the most recommended TV to watch from the sides, both for its low angle of view and its curved panel. This TV is the same as the NU8000 but with the difference of the curved panel, a slight curvature that allows immersion in the image, especially if we are well centered. For gamers it is a very good TV, with low inputlag in GameMode and a RefreshRate of 100Hz.

• The best: good for gamers and to watch from the center with/whitout ambient light.
• Worst: Limited viewing angle

Samsung NU7300 Curved screen 2018-2019 review

The Samsung NU7300 is a TV with curved screen for sale in the UK during 2018&2019. This TV is mid-range and presents a typical image of the VA, this is better to watch front and good to watch movies in the dark or with much light. The Smart platforms is Tizen 4.0 one of the most applications includes, and with good fluidity and stability. The sound is poor but enough to watch TV. The model NU7100 is the same TV but with flat screen, they share technical specifications and although it is not a recommended TV to watch from the sides it is always better to be flat for that situation. The TV with the slight curvature is better to watch centered. We advise you to review our opinion about the Samsung NU7100 which is the same as we have for this model.

Samsung NU8000: good for all uses 2018-2019

The Samsung NU8000 is a mid-high-end TV for 2018-2019. The image quality is very good if we see it from the front, good for a dark room or to see with the lights off. The level of brightness is also good so it adapts well to bright rooms. Like all VA panels the viewing angle is reduced, recommended for watching from the front. The inputlag is low: good for gamers. This model evolves a bit the MU8000 of the previous year, with something better for HDR content. The audio is correct to watch TV but it is not enough for movie lovers or who want to listen to music with the TV.

Our opinion Samsung NU8000 (veredict):

Our opinion about the Samsung NU8000 is good in general. It is a television that adapts well to all kinds of uses, it is a balanced television in our opinion, the NU8000 is good in sports, TVShows, movies in high quality, gamers etc ... it is also a TV that adapts well to dark or bright rooms although it is not at the level of the best of the year as the QLED.

The weak point is the same that accompanies Samsung in recent years: the VA panel is not recommended if you usually watch it from the sides. The audio does not stand out either, we almost always recommend buying an external sound bar. We recommend you buy the Samsung NU8000 as a good TV for all uses whenever you are going to watch it centered.

Samsung MU6670: The best mid-range 2017-2018?

The Samsung MU6670 is a mid-range TV. The panel is curved and offers 4K resolution and HDR compatibility. The brightness level does not allow playback of the best HDR content, but it is a good mid-range TV in general, with good Smart and good connectivity. The Samsung MU6670 is the same TV as the MU6500 with different Front Colour: Dark Titan. The differences in image quality are minimal: 1700Hz PQI and Supreme UHD Dimming technology. In addition to the frame color the MU6675 includes the TM1790A One Remote Control remote control. We do not think the difference is significant
