The Sony AG8 TV is an OLED, one of the most recommended TVs of the year if we do not have the price in gutter. The image quality is excellent since it combines perfectly the image of an OLED panel: uniformity, excellent contrast, great viewing angle, with the careful and accurate colors of Sony. This TV is compatible with some of the best HDR formats: DolbyVision and of course with 4K resolution. The Smart is good although there is something behind LG or Samsung for us in ease of use. Audio is somewhat superior to the competition with Sony Acoustic Surface technology, which uses the screen as a vibrating surface for the speakers, but is not compatible with Atmos (only the AG9)

Our opinion about the Sony AG8 is very good, it is a TV designed to compete with the best TVs of the year from other brands such as the Samsung Q90R or the LG C). OLED technology is ideal for watching movies in the dark while maintaining an excellent image although we see it from the sides. A good Smart, good functionality for video games and compatibility with the best current formats make it an excellent high-priced TV, so if your budget is not high you should look for alternatives not OLED or wait for an offer.Alternatives to Sony AG8:
LG OLED C9: Similar in everything, the price similar to the AG8, something better the Smart.
Samsung Q90R: Brighter but with slightly less viewing angle, like the LG something better the Smart and a similar price
Sony OLED AG9: the older brother, shares most specifications, but has a higher processor and more powerful audio compatible with Atmos. More expensive.
