Comparison Sony XH8096 vs XH8596

advertising
The difference between the Sony XH8096 and Sony XH8505 televisions is small, it is mainly based on the native frequency of the panel, which allows you to see fast-moving images such as video games or action movies without the need to "interleave" made-up images "to make more fluid movement that can cause the image's brightness and colors to darken.

Both models are mid-range 4K with an EdgeLED panel (in 43 and 49 inches), although they are not 10-bit, they are compatible with the best HDR formats including DolbyVision. The Smart is Android TV and neither of them include the Premium remote control.
* The Sony XH8196 is the same as the XH8096 with the Smart Premium (RMF-TX600E) and a different base design.

Differences Sony XH8096 vs XH8505

The XH8505 is only available in 43 and 49 inches. The main difference is the native frequency of the panel that in the XH8505 is 100Hz, compared to the 50Hz of the XH8096. It also has one more USB port and a double tuner.

In sizes of 55 "or more only the Sony XH8096 is available, which differs from the smaller models is to use a DirectLED panel

Price:
At 49 inches its price is about £100 more
  • Sony 49XH8505: for £800
  • Sony 49XH8096: for £700

Conclusion:

The difference is small, if you have to choose one of the two, it is clear that it is better to choose the 100Hz (XH8505), but of course you have to pay for it. If you are not very freak of video games I think that it is not necessary to spend more just for this aspect. The two Sony models are a little expensive in our opinion.
